Brandermen
The film follows father Petri Brander, his only son Sam and their band The Brandermen. Father Petri is an old punk rocker and son Sami has inherited the rock world from his father. What makes the band special is that the son Sami is developmentally disabled.
Petri has a strong influence in Sami's life and is Sami's caregiver. He runs Sam's errands and is Sami's best friend at the same time. Cracked guitar music unites Petri and Sam.
However, Sami, should grow up and move in on his own. How does a protective father fare when it's time for Sam to move out?
Petri tries to find a subsidized housing for Sami, where Sami could live alone. He teaches Sam the basic skills of an independent life: shopping, cooking, doing dishes and washing clothes.
Brandermen offers a different father-son story, which is not lacking in humor and adversity, as Petri prepares Sam for an independent life as The Brandermen turns up the volume to eleven!
